Argenta: A Community film work-in-progress. Film about the remote community of Argenta, British Columbia from the 1950’s to the 1980’s, when the counter-culture flourished, and its effect on the present.
I grew up in Argenta, British Columbia and this is a film I have been working on for a number of years. I am looking for additional funding to complete it. I have filmed about 25 hours of footage plus scanned hundreds of archival photos.
In winter, 2017, I completed these live music videos for The Pocket Demons, shot at Spiritbar in the Hume Hotel, Nelson, BC last year.
In fall, 2016 I made this video funded by BC Culture Days of Culture Days events in Nelson, British Columbia.
In the spring and summer of 2016, I followed “La Caravane des arts” throughout the Kootenays. This was a group of five lively, very talented francophone artists touring the province of British Columbia. The following two short videos are in French. The videos were funded by the CCAFCB (Centre Culturel et Artistique Francophone de la Colombie Britannique).
I made the following video for SEEDS in fall of 2015. They garden, grow food locally and show others how to do it. If you want to know more, visit http://www.seedsnelson.org/
